Warranty

Company P.P.H.U. Pietraszek-Okna provides high quality of its products by issuing a warranty, which is based on having a warranty card completed by the seller, with attached to it recommendations for the installation, operation, maintenance of the window carpentry.

Here are some simple guidelines concerning the use so as to enjoy their efficient long-term functioning without any problems:

  • Change the positions of the handle with the window closed.
  • Handle positions:
    down– closed
    horizontally – open
    up – left ajar/tilted (only in the RU wings)
    the angle of 45 (between the opening function and evasion) – microventilation (only in the RU wings )
  • Do not load extra weight on the window.
  • In order to maintain adequate ventilation and humidity in the room, unseal the windows (the handle at 45 degrees – between the open position and tilt window). This is also possible thanks to the micro-ventilation (only in the Tilt and Turn wings) or cut-out of the gasket or by the use of devices to ensuring the exchange of air in the room (ventilator).

How to preserve them?

  • You should lubricate the mechanisms of metal fittings, just once a year, in their mutual co-operation places and perform easy conservation of the gasket with a special pin or glycerol.
  • It is also worthwhile to carry out an annual inspection of the fitting components, check if the hinges are properly seated; possibly, adjust the windows.
  • From time to time, you should also check the opening of the drainage holes in the jambs, to ensure proper drainage of rainwater.
  • For cleaning it is recommended to use a diluted mild solution of dishwashing liquids. On the other hand, you must not use any detergents, alkaline, and definitely not solvents.

Following these guidelines allows the customer to use the warranty given for:

  • 5 years for durability and color profiles of PCV, fittings, air tightness, glazing, provided that the installation was made by the compagny P.P.H.U. Pietraszek-Okna or an assembly unit authorized by them.
  • 1 year on durability and colour profiles of PCV, fittings, air tightness, glazing when purchasing carpentry without installation services.
  • 1 year on durability and colour profiles of PCV, fittings, air tightness, glazing for atypical joinery (e.g. triangles, trapezoids. arcs, circles, etc.), irrespective of the assembly.
  • 1 year on additional window accessories (door closers, tilt adjustment mechanisms MSL, lifting mechanisms, balcony snaps BK, brakes, window vents, window sills, eaves), etc.
